Alucobond is a popular material used for exterior signage and building facades due to its durability and resistance to weather and corrosion. The fabrication process involved cutting and shaping the Alucobond material to the desired size and shape, as well as painting it with the appropriate colors. Once the fabrication was complete, the lightbox was installed on the exterior of the building.

The Process

  1. Removal of old vinyl stickers: The existing vinyl stickers on the store’s exterior were removed, this involved using special equipment to peel the stickers off the building’s surface without damaging the underlying structure.

  2. Replacement of old vinyl stickers: new vinyl stickers were installed in place of the old ones. This involve designing the new graphics, printing them onto vinyl, and then adhering them to the building’s exterior.

  3. 2020 Digital was responsible for installing the 2-sided lightbox using a crane, which was then bolted into the floor. The installation process involved first fabricating a bed for the lightbox, which would provide a stable platform for the lightbox to rest on. The bed was have been designed to fit the specific dimensions of the lightbox and could have been made from metal. Once the bed was fabricated, the lightbox was hoisted into place using a crane, which would have been necessary due to the size and weight of the lightbox. Once the lightbox was in position, it was secured to the floor using bolts or other fasteners, ensuring that it was stable and safe. Finally, the lighting elements would have been connected to the power source, providing illumination to the lightbox. Overall, this project required a significant amount of planning and coordination to ensure that the installation was completed safely and efficiently and would have resulted in a visually striking and effective way to promote the client’s brand.
